Introducing Freeze me Cabinet, Freeze me Mirror and Freeze me coat hanger designed by Nika Zupanc for Driade at Salone del Mobile 2024

The design philosophy of the Freeze me mirror and Freeze me cabinet continues the research of an idea of capturing a beautiful melting moment in an iconic way, almost as if it is a pictogram, using simple, geometrical lines and design solutions.

This time around the exciting moment of melting is streched to a bigger scale, and as such giving a beautiful frame to capture and 'freeze' a moment in which imaginary melting mirror bends and spills over a sleek and elegant minimalistic cabinet.

The elements that all together shape this melting story can be moved around the cabinet and can also be used separately, each on its own; The Freeze me mirror can act as an exciting solo object  and The Freeze me drop as a coat hanger, giving a possibility to create the new melting drama on any wall.

The design and structure of Vento sofa continues with the exploration of forms, inspired by the shape changing forces of nature, such as wind or water, allowing them to be curved softly and intuitively.

The same as for Vento armchair, Ditre's first member of Vento family, the search for the construction of this sofa family comes from imagining the natural forces of movement that through time slowly and gently shape and round the world around us.

As such, theses inspirations led to the design of a sofa, that is both  elegant and clean in its visual apperance but at the same time also very generous in its comfort and softness.

The beautiful choices of signature Ditre Italia textile and colours underline the design with unexpected beauty and timeless elegance.

Little sisters of Arcade dinning tables share their design essence are equaly inspired by pillars, arcades, vaults and passages.

They are designed through an eclectical mix of these typical architectural elements in order to create a modular and versatile system of supports that can be used with a selection of different shapes and materials for table tops.

 The created system of supports and different table tops offers a number of possibilities for versatile compositions or single table solutions.

EUROPE’S DESIGNING WOMEN / DESIGNSALON 2019 (EN)Under the title “Europe’s Designing Women” Designsalon 2019 will show works by28 independent women designersfrom all 28 EU member countries representing the powerful creative energy of women in Europe.Curator Katrin Steindl has dedicated Designsalon 2019 to Europe’s successful designing women. Each of the 28 EU member countries is represented by the work of one independently producing designer. The exhibition was designed and implemented by Teresa Galen and Christine Hechinger. In a sensitive, yet powerful, presentation a round table serves as a platform for equality on which the individual exhibits stand on an equal footing. The Designsalon in the Wappensaal at Landesgalerien Linz will be opened on 27 September at 7 pm at the same time as the Kunstsalon [Art Salon]. The exhibition will run until 27 October.The powerful energy of female designers is ubiquitous. Products, brands and companiesas well as cities and realities are decisively shaped by the creative power of women in Europe. The works they produce are just as strong and powerful as those of their male colleagues. Yet by no means all the products created by women are designed for women as powerful, creative businesswomen design and produce for the world market. They operate as businesswomen, influential creative forces and bosses of design studios in a sector still dominated by men. “The Designsalon concentrates female creative poweron a stage, equal and analogous to the stars on the EU flag”,says curator Katrin Steindl,emphasising that the design, development and execution of this year’s Designsalon all grew in close and equal teamwork together with Teresa Galen and Christine Hechinger.Designsalon 2019 invites you to take a conscious look at female creative potential in Europe and to realise the extent of the obvious and successful creativity of female designers
